Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Business Offers LLC ("BusinessOffers," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the website located at businessoffers.com and any related services (collectively, the "Platform").

Business Offers LLC is a limited liability company organized in the State of New Jersey, United States. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

1. A note about our text-only design

BusinessOffers is intentionally a text-only platform. We do not allow users to upload photos, files, or other media to the Platform. Listings, business profiles, spotlights, and messages consist of text and links only. This design choice reduces the amount of data we collect and store, and it limits the categories of personal information that pass through our systems.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account registration information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, depending on the registration method, a password (stored only in hashed form, never in plain text) and a display name.
  • Profile and business content. Information you choose to enter, such as your business name, listings (offers and needs), Small Business Spotlight content, and any links you provide to your own external websites or online profiles.
  • Messages. The content of messages you send to other users or businesses through the Platform's messaging features.
  • Communications with us. If you contact us for support or submit a ticket, we collect the information you include in those communications.
  • Guest interactions. If you express interest in a listing without a registered account, we collect the email address you provide for verification and the content of your inquiry.

2.2 Information collected through social login

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider, which typically includes your name and email address. We use this only to create or access your account. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not access your Google data beyond the basic profile information you authorize during sign-in. Your use of Google sign-in is also governed by Google's own privacy policy.

2.3 Information collected automatically

  • Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our systems and infrastructure providers may automatically log certain technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps, for security, troubleshooting, and operational purposes.
  • Authentication and session data. We use cookies that are necessary for authentication and to keep you signed in during your session. These are required for the Platform to function.
  • Bot-protection data. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms from automated abuse. Turnstile may collect certain technical information from your device to distinguish humans from bots. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy practices.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for advertising purposes.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your access.
  • Operate, maintain, and provide the features of the Platform, including listings, spotlights, and messaging.
  • Send transactional and service emails, such as verification codes, account confirmations, password resets, and notifications related to your activity.
  • Review and moderate user-submitted content (including Small Business Spotlight submissions) before publication.
  • Provide optional features such as the AI Listing Builder (see Section 4).
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
  • Respond to your support requests and communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. AI-assisted features

The Platform offers an optional AI Listing Builder that helps you draft or refine listing text. When you use this feature, the text you submit for assistance is sent to a third-party AI service provider (Anthropic) to generate suggested content. This text is processed solely to return suggestions to you. We recommend you do not include sensitive personal information in content submitted to AI-assisted features. Use of this feature is optional.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Content you choose to make public. Listings, Small Business Spotlight profiles, and similar content you submit and that is approved for publication are visible to other users and the public. Do not include information in public content that you do not wish to be publicly visible.
  • With other users, as directed by you. When you message another user or express interest in a listing, the relevant information (such as your message and the email or identity you choose to share) is made available to that user so they can respond.
  • Service providers. We share information with third-party providers who help us operate the Platform, including: cloud hosting and database providers, our email delivery provider, our bot-protection provider, and our AI service provider. These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of BusinessOffers, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If BusinessOffers is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party services

The Platform relies on the following categories of third-party services, each of which may process certain information as described above:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure (application hosting and database services).
  • Email delivery (sending verification codes and notifications).
  • Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile).
  • Authentication (Google sign-in, if you choose to use it).
  • AI assistance (Anthropic, for the optional AI Listing Builder).

These providers have their own privacy policies governing their handling of information. Links you click to external websites (including links businesses include in their listings or spotlights) are governed by the privacy policies of those external sites, not this one.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Published Small Business Spotlight versions are retained as part of our content and moderation records. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your personal information except where we are required or permitted to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security and recordkeeping.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Accessing and updating your information. You can review and update much of your account and profile information by signing in to the Platform.
  • Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at the email address below.
  • Email communications. Transactional and service emails (such as verification codes) are necessary to use the Platform and cannot be opted out of while you maintain an account. We do not send marketing email unless you have opted in, and you may opt out of any such marketing at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information under applicable laws (such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing). To exercise any such rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children's privacy

The Platform is intended for use by businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, authenticated email sending, and bot protection. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

11. International users

The Platform is operated from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and in regions used by our service providers. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

13. Contact us

If you have questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, contact us using Contact us form.

This document is a draft provided for your use. It is not legal advice. Privacy laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time. You should have this Privacy Policy reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it, particularly given that you collect personal information and use third-party processors.
