Trust on a marketplace depends on knowing how it actually works behind the scenes. This guide is a straight explanation of what we can see, what we do to keep the platform safe, and how your information is handled — no fine print.
What's private, and what isn't
- Other users cannot see your contact details. Your email and phone number are not shared with them. They see your display name in conversations, not your email.
- Other users see what you choose to share — your offers, your messages to them, and anything you decide to disclose. Be deliberate about that; once shared with another party, you can't control what they do with it.
What administrators can see — and why
We believe in being upfront about this rather than burying it.
- Administrators can view messages sent through the platform. This exists for real reasons: investigating reports, moderating abuse and fraud, providing support, and complying with legal obligations.
- The practice is restrained. Administrative access to message content is intended for cause — such as a report or a safety concern — not casual browsing, and sensitive moderation actions are logged.
- Why we tell you plainly: so you can make informed decisions about what you share. The honest answer is that the platform is not a place for content you'd consider truly private or confidential — keep that kind of information out of any messaging system, here or anywhere.
How moderation works
- You can report an offer, a message, or a conversation that seems fraudulent, abusive, or against the rules. Reports are how problems get our attention.
- We can act on content and accounts — removing or redacting content that violates the rules, and suspending or closing accounts that abuse the platform.
- Removed content isn't always gone without trace — we may keep records of moderation actions for safety and legal-compliance reasons.
How your information is handled
- What we collect: your account details, your offers and messages, and — if you use guest contact — your email and the message you send.
- Why: to operate the platform, deliver messages, verify identities, keep things safe, and meet legal obligations.
- Email verification and notifications: we send verification codes, links, and notification emails as a normal part of running the platform.
- We don't sell your personal information. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it's necessary to comply with the law or a valid legal request, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and the public.
For the full and authoritative details, see our Terms & Conditions. This guide is a plain-language summary to help you understand where you stand.
The short version
We keep your contact details private from other users, we're honest that administrators can see messages for safety and legal reasons, and we act on reports to keep the marketplace trustworthy. Knowing all of that, share thoughtfully — and use the platform with confidence.
